Adobe Photoshop only comes with a basic package of brushes that has not changed in some time.  Thanks to the creative community of designers who live and breathe Photoshop, there are literally thousands and thousands of brush sets to choose from.  Maybe you need some smoke coming off of a fire, vector graphics for a creative design, buildings for a background and we all know how hard it can be to draw hair.  There is a brush to fill any void in your artwork or to be the focal point itself.
