About
Founded in 2009, Bluefaqs began as a playground for me to brush up on my web design skills and to play around a little with the powerful content management system, WordPress. As the months passed, I began writing a few articles offering some useful tips and showcasing several resourceful roundups. The response was both unexpected and flattering.
The awesome feedback convinced me to take Bluefaqs from just an experiment to a full-fledged design blog. I now write several articles a week spotlighting useful tips, tutorials, inspiration and anything related to web design.
The design community is absolutely amazing and is the driving force behind this website. The thousands of designers out there continue to astonish me with their enthusiastic spirit, friendliness and brilliant ideas. I’ve never felt more at home and thoroughly enjoy contributing to this wonderful circle of creativity.
If you share this love for all things design related and creative, then lets grow our skills together. I have a ton of ideas on the back burner that I can’t wait share through the posts on this site. Follow us, subscribe to us or just swing by the blog daily and we’ll continue to update you with valuable and relevant information.
Who’s Behind The Wheel Here?
Bluefaqs was created by me, Shawn Ramsey. I currently work for a local state college and spend the rest of my time here on the site. I’m in the midst of launching my own freelance company in the coming months, although I’ve already designed several websites for many different clients. Here’s an example of some recent work.
In my spare time, what is that, I enjoy fishing mostly for Redfish and Speckled Trout on my new favorite body of water, Calcasieu Lake. I live on Lake Sam Rayburn located in East Texas, so there’s a lake in my backyard as well. I also enjoy working out, playing frisbee golf and spending time with friends and family. My biggest passion is of course my devotion to Bluefaqs and doing all I can to make this website a wonderful place for up-and-coming and professional designers alike to polish and take their design skills to a new level.
If you have any questions, creative ideas for the site, useful criticism or just want to say “hello,” don’t be shy and drop me an email or talk to me on Twitter. I enjoy communicating with my readers and will always make time for them first.
Thanks,
Shawn Ramsey (founder of Bluefaqs)
