Designing a typography-based poster that actually works is not an easy task. With the spotlight turned towards the typeface itself, many different variables from placement to color to the chosen font all have to work together. Not everyone can pull it off, but when a designer is skilled in this type of work the results can be quite beautiful.

Wonderful compilation of type posters. I particularly liked the simplicity of the Furet poster, the cleverness of the Good Typography is Invisible poster and Italic poster for just being cool. Thanks for the collection, I really enjoyed it!

Very creative posters. Like most people, I’ve always been a big fan of typography based designs. We just got finished going over several chapters in my design class that specifically talked about typography. Lots of interesting things. It’s amazing how complex lettering can be. Great roundup!
